loupekind reset exports

What loupekind reset exports does

Delete everything under the shoot's export/ directory, for when the exports were rendered from stale or wrong verdicts and you want to start the delivery again. It is independent of the cull: verdicts, ratings, develop edits, the analysis cache and the originals are all untouched.

Usage

loupekind reset exports [--shoot DIR]

Flags

Flag Description Default
--shoot Shoot directory the current directory

Plus the global --output text|json.

Why the export ledger survives

.loupekind/exports.yaml, the append-only record of each export run with its frames, verdict set and render settings, is not deleted. Clearing the rendered files means "render these again", not "this delivery never happened". The files are regenerable from the records; the fact that you chose to deliver them is not.

The reported file count can under-report

The count in the output only tallies files directly inside export/, not files nested in subdirectories. The deletion itself takes the whole tree regardless, so the directory is genuinely empty afterwards even when the number reads low.

Re-running the export

Because the verdicts and edit records are all intact, rendering the same set again is just:

loupekind reset exports --shoot ~/Pictures/smith-wedding
loupekind export --shoot ~/Pictures/smith-wedding

Given the same records, loupekind export is deterministic: the second render reproduces the first.
